As ever the product offering here is awesome, now with weddings in full flow the overall product is unique. In terms of AA Quality Standards and as result of this year’s day inspection Lower Barn easily retains its Five GOLD Star Guest Accommodation rating with us here at the AA. The focus of this day inspection was to assess the physical condition of the property and to assess any significant changes that have taken place since our last visit – the outside circle, chill out area has added very well to the overall guest offering. It was pleasing to see the proactive approach taken over the past year with general maintenance standards – continuous investment throughout sees standards ever increasing. Bedrooms present well with attractive decor and furniture throughout. Bathrooms were also to a very good standard with good quality fixtures and fittings while housekeeping standards continue to be a clear strength with no major lapses noted. Public areas which had very good levels of cleanliness during this visit are comfortable with the outside areas continuing to offer a pleasant venue to relax. Externally the property offers a positive impression upon arrival. We wish Mr and Mrs Cooksley continuing success. It was a pleasure to meet with Mr Cooksley, he is thanked for his time, conversation and show round.
