You are my happy ending
The first Runaway Elopement Wedding is booked at Lower Barns Boutique B&B!
The Wed Shed is having its finishing touches. Mike is on the case as ever making doors and laying paths while I have the absolutely lovely job of sourcing furniture, lights and all the other decorative accessories that will make it all come together for spell binding intimate love-days.
We found a wonderful old school desk for the Registrar and signing of the marriage licence. I thought I would join the trend with French cafe chairs in striking colours, which are so in vogue at the moment. I am really pleased to have up cycled two colonial wicker chairs with newly upholstered seats. The piece de resistance I came across at Graham and Green; chairs with the style and bold colours of Latin America, enough to make you gush with delight. Lighting will be a mixture, including some which were made by a blacksmith in Bodmin for my old stables. These have kind of set the scene for a metal theme, as well as loads of candles because we love a bit of enchanting flicker and glow.
I was in Mexico this winter and have been inspired by pom poms for decoration indoors and especially for outdoor wedding feasts. I know that I certainly can’t wait to be partying alfresco again very soon!
I’ll keep sharing our updates as we prepare for small, intimate, bespoke weddings. If you are planning to get wed and would like to bring your partner to see if it’s for you, then please contact us through www.lowerbarns.co.uk, janie@lowerbarns.co.uk.
Cornwall has always been a destination for sandy toes and salty kisses and I feel blessed to be sharing fairytale journeys and happy endings.
