Theatre, Music, and Wonder…in a tent Cornwall
Don’t miss…..
The world famous Kneehigh Theatre premiere of ‘Dead Dog in a Suitcase’ in Cornwall.
So excited and just can’t wait for the stunning explosion of theatrical antics at the amazing Lost Gardens of Heligan, which will be home to one of Cornwall’s most celebrated theatre groups….. Kneehigh Theatre premiere ‘Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs)’ within the historic grounds this September.
From 30th August to the 28th September the Kneehigh Theatre Asylum will be permanently pitched in the Lost Gardens of Heligan with daily performances of the new show, ‘Dead Dog in a Suitcase’.
Visitors to the Asylym may arrive at 6pm to explore the Lost Gardens (which will remain open to the later time of 7.30pm) before the show. They will also be able to enjoy a special 2-course meal from the Heligan restaurant.
The Asylum is Kneehigh’s award winning theatre space, a purpose built tent designed for theatre and live music performances.
Based on the Beggar’s Opera, John Gay’s classic musical satire, Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs) is full of “wit, wonder and weirdness”. An extraordinary Kneehigh cast of actors and musicians shoot, hoot and shimmy their way through a twisted morality tale of our times.
If you haven’t experienced Kneehigh come and stay at Lower Barns as we are only a mile from the garden. You can stay, play and relax!
