Exploring Cornwall….

February our shortest month is never sweet, as it comes at the dog-end of winter, though it acts as a reminder to lift our heads up and engage with the outside world again, to end hibernation and breath deep the smell of the Cornish landscape and seas which surround this rugged coast line.

Reasons to be cheerful:-

As  our days begin to be longer, we embrace February’s calm as a tonic sending us into spring.  A walk on a melancholy shore can be beautifully up-lifting.  Exploring Cornwall’s enchanting villages and magical Poldark coves.

Amidst Cornwall’s great beauty spots are The Lost Gardens of Heligan, awaking with snow drops and daffodils; making our  hearts skip a beat while taking in their faint smell and glorious palette of colours.

Super tasty rich healthy restaurants, cafe’s to nibble on that lush fluffy cake and rich, silky, delicious homemade hot chocolate.  Snug pubs with roaring fires, armchairs to doze in, a fine menu to feast on and a hearty smooth Cornish ale.

Exploring Cornwall’s many galleries, super talented theatre workshops and quirky shops.  There is such a variety of potters, poets, designers and ancient villages like Lostwithiel with its fascinating antique, history and junk yard shops.

With the thought of Spring just around the corner, why not pack your case and jump on a plane or in your car and escape your surroundings to the Hiding Places of one of Cornwall best kept secrets; boutique, luxury B&B  www.lowerbarns.co.uk.

Stay and Play in one of our luxe suites, Nook and Cranny with crackling fires, private hot tubs and sauna. Just roll up kick back those blues, pop the cork and let your self tuck into rib-eye of beef and homemade crumble.

Then all you have to do is totter to bed and collapse into your indulgent super king bed.

Wake up refreshed and plan your trip around Cornwall or just lay there and ponder your day.
